The Fresno County Heart Gallery is designed to find permanent homes and life-long connections for California’s foster children, especially those in Fresno County. The Heart Gallery is a project of the Department of Children and Family Services and many foster care and adoption agencies who work to find permanent homes for children in need and deserving of permanency. Photographers, both professional and amateur, volunteer their time to take compelling and beautiful pictures of youth who are in foster care and are hoping to find a “forever family”. These portraits are then displayed locally in hopes of inspiring Central Valley Residents who would have never seen themselves as potential life-long permanent connections.
