I met Elijah, LaKeisha, Priscellian and Ameer on a beautiful sunny Saturday morning.  I picked up Elijah, who is the youngest, from his Foster Mom’s house and brought him to meet his brother and sisters at the park.  Elijah was so excited to see them but particularly his brother, Ameer.  These children live in 3 different foster homes with only the girls being together.  They really want to be together as a family with a Mom and a Dad.  Elijah and Ameer were so happy to see each other and played as brothers do, running and chasing each other and laughing the entire time. 

The girls were more reserved, playing on the swings but they were very sweet and happy to see and be with the boys.  They all were polite and willing to pose however I wanted them to. Mostly I just wanted to capture their feelings for each other.  When we had to say good bye and I loaded Elijah into my car, Elijah said to me, “I wish I could just spend the night with my brother”.  I wanted to cry but I didn’t.
