The Day I Listened: Kyla was sitting in the stylist chair at a local hair salon when the owner walked by and complimented her cute hair cut. The lady asked if it was for something special or "just because"? My friend and I stopped talking to listen to her response. "I am getting my picture taken", she said. The owner replied, "Oh that's fun, is it for a special occasion?" Still listening, I just held my breath and I heard this young girl say, "oh yes it is a VERY special occasion....It's for me to be adopted!" "You see, if I get my picture taken I just know that a special family out there will see me and want me." "I just want to be part of a family."
