Partnerships for Children(PFC) provides critical resources to abused and neglected children in our community who are in the care of Child Protective Services. A program of PFC, The Heart Gallery of Central Texas, works with Child Protective Services to find forever families for older children, sibling groups, and children with special needs; often referred to as forgotten children. These are children who are living in foster care, many for extended periods of time, that are waiting for a permanent family and a life of stability and love. Our goal is to create adoption opportunities and minimize the time any child is waiting for a family. We also work closely with local Child Placing Agencies and Child Protective Services, as part of the Adoption Collaborative of Central Texas to create a community of support and recruitment opportunities for these waiting children. The Heart Gallery of Central Texas was established in 2005 as a traveling art exhibit and online gallery using the tal ents of area photographers to capture the spirit and personalities of foster children waiting for their forever family.
We have found this program beneficial in finding families for our children.
We ask that as you view the children, consider that they live in our communities.
Respect their right to privacy, and be aware that they may attend school or church, or play at the local park with your children and relatives.
The availability of their pictures leaves our children recognizable and vulnerable to negative attention.
Although we strive to protect them, we need your help. Thank you!
